Over-all Visitors to Cultural Places during 2004:
Historical places, archaeological sites and museums received 2.621
million visitors in 2004, compared to 2.776 million visitors in 2003, showing a
decline of 5.6 percent over previous year. Detail of visitor are given in the
following table:-

It would be seen from the above table that:-
Arrivals to places of cultural importance decreased to 2.621 million in
2004 from 2.776 million in 2003 indicating a decrease of 5.6 percent.
The fall in overall visitors is due to decrease in domestic visitors. The
domestic visitors showed a decline of 6.2 percent in 2004 while
foreign visitors reflected a strong growth of 87.9 percent in 2004.
