The
above
analysis indicates that:-
During year 2004 visitors to all the fourteen museums covered
in this Report increased by 4.0 percent over 2003. Over a
longer term, visitors to museums show six positive and four
negative trends since 1995. (see table 7 statistical appendix).
In year 2004, a record increase of 63.6 percent was observed
in foreign visitors. The number of foreign visitors during this
year went up from 0.011 million in 2003 to 0.018 million in
2004.
Domestic visitors to museums also increased from 0.539
million in 2003 to 0.554 million in 2004, reflecting 2.8 percent
increase over previous year.
