The visitors to Archaeological Sites maintained an upward trend in 2004 and received 0.153 million visitors compared to 0.096 million in 2003. The number of foreign visitors to archaeological sites in year 2004 were twice as high as in year 2003. During the same period, domestic visitors also reflected a high increase of 58.9 percent.

It
would
be
seen
from
the above table that:-
In year 2004, Moenjodaro maintained its highest position among the archaeological sites and received 79.11 percent of the total visitors, followed by Banbhore 13.1 percent, Umer Kot 5.2 percent and Takht- e-Bahi 2.6 percent.
The long term trends show that the number of visitors to Moenjodaro increased by 156.7 percent in year 2004 compared to 1995. While Banbhore showed 5.2 percent decline. Umer Kot showed an increase of 13.7 percent and visitors to Takht-e-Bahi were reduced by 17.9 percent in 2004, as compared to year 1996 (see Table No. 10 of Statistical Appendix).
