Karachi Pictures (Visual Tour of Karachi)
Welcome to Karachi. Karachi is the largest city of Pakistan. It is the
capital of Southern Sindh province. Karachi is spread in 2500 square
kilometers of area. There are many places to visit Karachi. On this tour we
will take you to the most impartant places to see which you can do in about
4 hours time.
Our first stop will be the mausoleum of founder of nation, Quaid e Azam
Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Here is the main picture of Jinnah mausoleum from
outside.

Climb the steps to see the beautiful archetecture master piece designed by
Pakistani architect Mr. Mohammad Yakub, the mausoleum was built in 1954

The grave of the founder of nation has a beautiful marble coffin with a pure
silver grill around it gifted by Shah of Iran.

Quaid e Azam was born on 25th December 1876 in a village called Jhirak near
Karachi. He died on 11th September 1948

Next we will visit the St Patrick's church in Saddar (Center) are of
Karachi. St Patrick's church was the first church in Sindh, built in
1845 as a Carmelite mission at a cost of 6,000 rupees under the leadership
of Karachi's first Carmelite priest, Father Casaboch. As the Catholic
population of the city grew, the city's Catholics raised money for
construction of a new church. Groundbreaking was done in 1878, and the
church was consecrated on 24 April 1881. Despite the construction of the new
building, the little church continued to function until it was destroyed by
a storm in 1885.
