Pakistan Visa For Indians

Updated on 8th September 2012. According to the new visa regime between Pakistan & India following new visa rules will be applicable.

The new visa rules although still to be finalized but will have relaxed visa regime for Indian citizens wishing to visit Pakistan. Following are categories of visas and their details.

Tourist Visa

A new type of Group tourist visa is introduced for group size 10 t0 50 and more people for a duration of 30 days. This visa will be permitted to only bonafied tour operators of each country. Both countries will exchange list of the registered companies. These companies will also be responsible for getting the police reports for the tourist. The roup visa will also be available for students wanting to travel each other's country.

Visitor Visa

This is the same existing visa that was available to people having relatives in India or Pakistan. Now this visa will be issued for 5 cities and will be valid for 6 months and for a maximum stay of 3 months. Additionally business person can also apply for this visa.

Businessmen Visa

A new type of business visa is introduced which will be valid for one year. The visa will be issued to those businessmen who have an income of Rs. 500,000 per month or total income of Rs. 30 lacs per year. This visa will be valid for a maximum of 5 entries.

The businessmen who have income of Rs. 50,00,000 or total income of 30 carors per year will be issued multiple entry visas.

Business visa will not take not longer than 5 weeks processing.

Businessmen visa may also not be required for police report.

Senior citizen Visa

Senior citizens having age above 60 years will be issued 2 years multiple visas and will also be able to get 45 days visa at the Atari & Wahgah border.

Entry points

The previous condition that the entry point and exit point should be same has been abolished while the entry ports for airline travel have been fixed as Karachi Lahore Islamabad in Pakistan and Mumbai, Delhi Chennai in India .
