This
unique trip takes you through the semi desert of Cholistan, once
irrigated by the Hakara River, now a semi desert expanse of sand
and salt bushes. Along the 500 km of the river bed, 400
archaeological sites have been discovered, but not excavated.
The tour starts at Multan with a drive to Bahawalpur-Yazman and
Chanan Pir. While we camel ride, we spend two nights camping
enroute visiting nomad settlements, and witness camel
drivers dance, the local jhumar, around a warm camp fire. Visit
Drawer Fort enroute, and explore its mysteries dating back to
17th century.
