were the home to Buddism from 272BC to 515AD. You will experience the true
meaning of Buddhism and how it evolved in Pakistan and moved from here to China
and the rest of the world.
Tour Itinerary
Day 01 - Take flight from your home to
Lahore. Meet on arrival and transfer
to your hotel, Afternoon tour of Lahore visit the Lahore museum the most
precious object of the Buddist heritage is fasting Buddha you will also see some
great artifacts from Buddhist period, later visit the Lahore fort and Badshahi
mosque Overnight at Hotel One hotel
Day 02 - After breakfast drive to Islamabad enroute visit the Rohtas
fort and Mankiala stupa on arrival in Ilamabad visit the Buddha caves at sunset
transfer to hotel One overngith
Day 03 Morning tour of Rawalpindi & Islamabad later drive to Peshawar via
Taxila visit Taxila Museum and the
excavated sites of the Buddhist Universities at Sirkap and
Jaulian and the stupa of Dharmarajika in detailm later continue to Peshawar. overnight at
Roomy crossroads hotel.
Day 04 - Visit Peshawar Museum the biggest and the best
museum for Gandhara art that depicts the diffrent aspects of life of Buddha You
can also see the casket that carried
the remains of ashes of Lord Buddha. Later visit the Kissa Khawani bazaar and
Mohabat Khan mosque overnight at Roomy crossroads hotel.
Day 05 Drive to Swat via Takht Bhai the largest and most
well preserved monastery also a UNESCO World heritage site, later visit Shahbaz Garhi
an important site of Buddhist period. Continue to Swat visit the Shingardar
stupa enroute Overnight at Swastu hotel.
Day 06 Morning visit Swat Museum Butkara and Mingora bazaar.
Afternoon visit Butkara 2 and other sites of Buddist period, also visit the
local bazaar at Mingora overnight at hotel.
Day 07 Drive to Gilgit via Shanga pass and Karakorum
highway, visit the Buddhist carvings/petroglyphs at Shatial overnight at Riveria

Day 08 Full day excursion to Hunza valley visit the Baltit
fort and rock drawings from 8th century at Ganish later return to Gilgit
overnight at hotel.
Day 09 Drive to Mansehra via Naran visit the Ashoka
inscriptions at Mansehra
overnight at hotel.
Day 10 Drive to Islamabad Transfer to airport for flight to next destination.
