The trek starts from Borit Lake in the upper Hunza (Gojal). We climb up a beaten trail and crossing the tricky Passu Glacier reach the high point of Patundas (4200m), which is the summer settlement of Gulkin villagers. From this plateau we have the magnificent panorama of mountains such as Shispare (7611m), Pass peak (7284m), the entire Shimshal mountains range and the Batura Massif.
