Destination Gilgit

This is one of the most unique and interesting trips any where in the world. You will drive on the famous Karakorum highway (Silk Road ), Running along the River Indus with spectacular scenery you will stop a night at Besham in PTDC motel built along the river Indus . Day 02 we will reach the comfortable Gilgit Serena hotel. It is small hotel of 45 rooms with all amenities of a superior hotels. All rooms have spectacular views. There is a conference room which will be booked for the conference. They serve excellent meals. We will also visit Hunza (The Shangri-La of James Hilton’s Novel " The lost Horizon") here you will see Rakaposhi, Diran peak, Golden Peak, Ultar and lady finger mountains all above 7000 meters high. We can either take a spectacular flight from Islamabad to Gilgit or simply drive back to Islamabad same way.

ITINERARY

Day 01 Flight to Islamabad on arrival meet by our representative. Drive to Besham. , short stop at Taxila to see the museum and archeological site, Lunch on the way at Sharkool. Dinner & Overnight at PTDC Motel Besham.

Day 02 Drive to Gilgit Stop at several points for Photos and short walks on the Karakorum highway. Lunch at Dassu at a local restaurant. On arrival transfer to Gilgit Serena hotel.

Day 03 Full Day conference with lunch & tea breaks Overnight at hotel

Day 04 Full Day conference with lunch & tea breaks Overnight at hotel

Day 05 Full Day Excursion to Hunza Afternoon return to Gilgit. Overnight.

Day 06 Drive to Sharkool Overnight at hotel.

Designation Swat Serena Hotel. & Swat Continental hotel

This program is a short option. You get to see green foothills of Hindukush mountains. Starting from Islamabad you will have a stop at the confluence of river Indus & river Kabul later driving across the Kabul river & Malakand pass you will be met by the green valley of Swat. Swat Serena hotel is a first class category of hotel with vast gardens around it & a very good restaurant. You will also visit Swat museum which houses a great treasure of Gandhara art. On our way back we will drive to Peshawar this will cut our journey short & we will have about 31/2 hours.

Hotels : Swat Serena hotel. It is a hotel of 60 well arranged rooms with basic amenities. A conference with a maximum of 50 Pax is recommended

Swat continental Hotel : A small hotel but equipped with all basic amenities of a superior hotel. Has restaurant and a conference hall to cater a conference of 50 - 60 Persons.

Activities : Fishing in the Swat river

Bon fire Dinner with sports and traditional music.

Visit to archeological site of Butkara.

ITINERARY

Day 01 Flight to Islamabad. On arrival meet and drive to Swat via Malakand Pass. (265 KMs 5 Hours ) Overnight at Swat Serena Hotel.

Day 02 Full Day conference facilities in the Hotel with Lunch & Tea breaks.

Day 03 Morning tour of Mingora Visit Swat Museum, Butkara archeological site & Mingora bazaar. Afternoon Drive to Peshawar (170 KMs ) connect flight to Karachi.

Peshawar (Pearl Continental Hotel)

This option is also a different option. You will be in the middle of a thousand nights stories bazaar. Peshawar enjoys a tremendous political, historical and archaeological importance. Situated on the gate way to Central Asia, Peshawar has been very important for trade and tourism. Enjoy the hospitality of Peshawar and if permission is granted we will visit Khyber pass which has always been an important point for all invaders into south east Asia.
