Day 1 — Arrival in Jeddah

Arrive at King Abdulaziz International Airport, where our representative will welcome you and assist you with all arrival formalities before transferring you to your hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, you may relax after your flight or begin your first introduction to Saudi Arabia with an evening walk along the famous Jeddah Corniche overlooking the Red Sea. The Corniche stretches for many kilometres and offers beautiful gardens, fountains, sculptures and cafés. The refreshing sea breeze and spectacular sunset provide the perfect beginning to your journey through the Kingdom. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Jeddah.

Day 2 — Discover Historic Jeddah

After breakfast we begin a full-day exploration of Jeddah, one of the oldest and most fascinating cities in the Arabian Peninsula. For centuries Jeddah served as the principal seaport for pilgrims travelling to Makkah from Asia, Africa and Europe. Millions of Muslims first set foot in Arabia through this historic city before continuing their journey toward the Holy Cities. Its strategic location on the Red Sea also made it an important centre for international trade connecting Arabia with Egypt, East Africa, India and Southeast Asia.

Historic Al Balad

The highlight of today's tour is Al Balad, the historic heart of Jeddah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking through its narrow streets is like stepping back several centuries. Traditional coral-stone merchant houses with beautifully carved wooden balconies, known as Roshan, line the streets and reflect the city's unique architectural heritage. You will visit the traditional souqs where merchants continue to sell perfumes, spices, gold jewellery, textiles and local handicrafts much as they have done for generations.

Historical Background of Jeddah

Although fishing communities existed here for thousands of years, Jeddah became internationally important during the reign of the third Caliph, Uthman ibn Affan (RA), who designated the city as the official port for pilgrims travelling to Makkah around 647 CE. From that time onward, pilgrims arriving from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Africa and the Ottoman Empire entered Arabia through Jeddah. The city's multicultural atmosphere remains visible today in its architecture, cuisine and traditions.

Jeddah also played an important role during the Ottoman period. Many of the historic houses that still survive today were built by wealthy merchants trading across the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. Following extensive restoration work, Al Balad has once again become one of Saudi Arabia's most attractive historical districts.

Day 3 — Haramain High-Speed Train to Madinah

Following breakfast, transfer to Jeddah Railway Station to board one of the world's fastest electric trains. The Haramain High-Speed Railway represents one of Saudi Arabia's greatest modern engineering achievements. Operating at speeds of up to 300 km/h, the railway connects Makkah, Jeddah, King Abdulaziz International Airport and Madinah in comfort and safety. As the train glides across the western Arabian landscape, passengers enjoy spacious seating, modern facilities and spectacular desert scenery. Upon arrival in Madinah, transfer to your hotel located within walking distance of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. In 622 CE, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ migrated from Makkah to Madinah in the historic event known as the Hijrah, marking the beginning of the Islamic calendar. Day 12 — Discover Riyadh

Riyadh is the political, financial and cultural capital of Saudi Arabia. From a small oasis settlement centuries ago, it has developed into one of the Middle East's most modern cities while preserving its rich Arabian heritage. Masmak Fortress

Constructed in 1865, Masmak Fortress is one of Saudi Arabia's most important historical monuments. It was here that King Abdulaziz Ibn Saud recaptured Riyadh in 1902, beginning the campaign that eventually unified the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Visitors can explore the restored fort, museums and exhibits explaining the birth of the modern Saudi state.

Diriyah – UNESCO World Heritage Site

A visit to Riyadh would be incomplete without exploring At-Turaif District in Diriyah. The final days of the tour are dedicated to worship in the holiest city in Islam. Makkah is the birthplace of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and home to Al-Masjid Al-Haram, which surrounds the Holy Kaaba—the Qiblah towards which Muslims all over the world offer their daily prayers.
