About Meraj Un Nabi (Asccent of the prophet to heavens)

According to the sources the aproximate time of Lalat ul Asra or Shabbe e Meraj happened when Prophet peace be upon him was 52 years of age and proximatly 1 and half years of age on the 27th day of Islamic calendar month Rajab. Aproximatly 621CE

What is the value and position of this event.

For that Quraan which is the most important source of events. This journey has 2 parts one is the land journey one is from Kaaba to Maesjed e Aqsa. and 2nd part of the journey is from masjid e Aqsa to Sidrat Ul Muntaha. Quraan mentions 2 times and very clearly mentions it the first part appears for the first part of the jouney in 15th Parah first lines it says "Subhan lazi Asra

Glory to Him who made His servant travel by night from the sacred place of worship to the furthest place of worship, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him some of Our signs. He alone is the All Hearing, the All Seeing.

2nd mention is in Surah Najam about the second part of the journey.

Remember when We said to you that your Lord encompasses mankind in His knowledge. Nor did We make the vision We showed you except as a test to people, as also the accursed tree in the Quran.[Quran 17:60

A second time he saw him (an angel),
By the lote-tree which none may pass
near the Garden of Restfulness
when the tree was covered in nameless (splendour).

His sight never wavered, nor was it too bold.
and he saw some of the greatest signs of his Lord

Since Asra is mentioned so clearely in Quraan denying it will be considered as Kufr (Or denying the words of God).

In the Hadith traditions there are 2 very clear and most authentic Hadiths

We are all blessed to have this night in our lives. This is the night of Shabbe Meraaj, the night when our prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was called to the highest point of this universe where Allah blessed our prophet a meeting with Almighty self. All Muslims celebrate this day as a holy day. We will not go into details and beliefs here. When is the Shabe Maeraaj:- It is on the evening of 26th Rajab or 2nd April 2019

What to do in the evening od Shabbe Meraj

Take a bath and put on clean clothes.
Give alms in the way of Allah.
Just before midnight pray 12 Rak-a`t Namaaz, in 6 sets of 2 Rak-a`t each. In every Rak-a`t recite Soorah Al Faatih`ah and any other Soorah (any one soorah from Soorah Muhammad to An Naas).
After the salaam recite each of the following Soorahs 7 times:

i. Al faatihah
ii. Al Ikhlaas
iii. Al Falaq
iv. An Naas
v. Al Kafiroon
vi. Al Qadr
vii. Aayatul Kursee

At the end recite the following dua`a:

`ALH`AMDU LILLAAHILLAD`EE LAM YATTAKHID`WALADAN WA LAM YAKULLAHOO SHAREEKUN FIL MULKI WA LAM YAKULLAHOO WALIYYUN MINAD`D`ULLI WA KABBIRHU TAKBEERAA

ALLAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-MA-A`AQIDI I`ZZIKA A`LAA ARKAANI A`RSHIKA WA MUNTAHAR RAH`MATI MIN KITAABIKA WA BISMIKAL AA`-Z`AMIL AA`-Z`AMIL AA`-Z`AM WA D`IKRIKAL AA`-LAL AA`-LAL AA`-LAL WA BI-KALIMAATIKAT TAAMMAATIKAL AN TUS`ALLIYA A`LAA MUH`AMMADI WA AALIHEE

WA AN TAF-A`LA BEEMAA ANTA AHLU

Recite Ziyarat of the Holy Prophet(PBUH)
Recite Ziyarat of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS)

What to do on the day of 27th Rajab 1) Take a bath and put on clean clothes

2) Observe fast
3) Give Alms in the name of Allah
4) Recite Ziarath of Holy Prophet(PBUH)
5) Recite Ziarath of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS)
6) Recite Salawaat(Durood) as many times as possible.
7) Recite 12 Rak-a`t Namaz in 6 sets of 2 rak-a`t each
In every Rakaat recite Soorah Al Faathih`ah and any other Soorah.
After the Salaam recite each of the following Surah 4 times
i. Soorah Al Faatih`ah
ii. Soorah Al Ikhlass
iii. Soorah Al Kaafiroon
iv. Soorah An Naas
v. Soorah Al Falaq
vi. Aayaatul Kursee

vii. LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAAHU WALLAAHU AKBER WA SUBH`AANALLAAHI WAL H`AMDU LILLAAHI WA LAA H`AWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHIL ALIYYIL AZEEM

viii. ALLAAHU ALLAAHU RABBEE LAA USHRIKI BIHEE SHAY-AA

ix. LAA USHRIKA BIRABBEE AH`ADAA

Observe fast on 28, 29 and 30th Rajab
