Shandu Polo will be held 28th to 30th June 20124
Watch the world famous Polo tournament played at the height of 12000 feet above sea level. Watch the polo match and enjoy the scenery and fresh cool atmosphere of the Shandur pass. Some added attractions for the visitors at the Shandur Polo Festival this year will be: horse racing without saddles, tampooq bazi, selection of the best horse of Chitral and the Northern Areas, paragliding and motorized gliding. Visitors will also witness a beautiful display of fireworks by an international company, known for their recent work at the Olympic Torch ceremony held in Islamabad.
ITINERARY
Day 01 26th June Meet on arrival in Islamabad drive to Gilgit long drive arrive late in the night and transfer to Hotel overnight at hotel.. Day 02 27th June Drive to Shandur via Gakuch overnight by the camp. . Day 03 28th June Shandur Polo tournament participate in additional activities horse riding etc overnight at camp. Day 04 29th June Shandur Polo tournament participate in additional activities horse riding etc overnight at camp Day 05 30th June Last day of the match evening drive to Gilgit Overnight at hotel. Day 06 1st July Drive to Hunza Afternoon tour of Hunza Overnight at hotel. Day 07 2nd July Drive to Besham Overnight at hotel. Day 08 3rd July Drive to Islamabad connect flight to Karachi
