Turtle Watching tour Karachi

Karachi is one of the 17 places in the world where green turtles are found they are an endangered species and is being protected by the Sindh wild life management board. A hatchery for the Turtles is established at the Sandspit beach of Karachi.

From July to Mid November large turtles come on the beach and lay eggs. It is fascinating to see these giant creatures living in the safety of the Sindh Wild Life management board guards.

You can have a tour of this amazing beach thru Travel & Culture Services. We will pick you up at 8:30 PM and drive you to the sand spit where we will give you complete ecological introduction of the marine turtles and also show you the hatchery and possibly the little hatchlings too. We will wait for a turtle to make a hole for its eggs and approach the turtle with great care without disturbing the female turtle and watch the laying of eggs.

On an average 100 to 150 eggs are laid by each turtle which are than buried by the animal and left thereon the beach to hatch.
