For this reason, District Foreigners Security Cell & a dedicated Helpline for tourist assistance & security has been established in each of the seven districts of Gilgi-Baltistan under the auspices of Gilgit-Baltistan Police, which is operated 24 hrs. a day to monitor visitors safety and liaise closely with other security agencies and police stations.

The Helpline for Tourist Assistance & Security is manned by well trained staff who are at hand to attend to any issues of concern to tourist, which include security, health, road conditions, vehicular breakdown.

The people of Gilgit-Baltistan are well known for being very friendly & welcoming. There is no restriction on travel to most popular tourist destinations in Gilgit-Baltistan except at 35 Kms the border of Pak-China & 30 Kms to Wakahn corridor & Pak- Indian Border.

We meet tourists on arrival in District Foreigner’s Security Cell of each district & note their particulars and schedule of visit in Gilgit-Baltistan for continuous monitoring visitors safety till their departure.
