Churches in Pakistan Tour
Pakistan although considered a Muslim country specially after the recent past
events. Pakistan however is the land where many religions began and its culture
is influenced by the spices of many faiths. The Hinduism's Regveda was written
in Indus valley, the epic Ramayana was said to have taken place in the Indus
valley, Budhha never visited Pakistan but it was Ashoka who ruled at Taxila and
he was the one who propagated Buddhism as state religion, it was here where all
rules of Buddhism were written.
For Christians Saint Thomas in 2nd century AD passed thru here and built a
cathedral here at Taxila. Local Christians still celebrate St. Thomas festival
in Taxila.
During the English Times Christianity became a powerful religion as it
attracted many low cast Hindus into the faith, many churches were built with
great fondness and love.
This tour will show you some of those Churches and will also give you the
opportunity to see and meet the Christians in Pakistan
Tour Itinerary
Day 01 Meet on arrival at Jinnah International airport Karachi transfer to
hotel. Afternoon city tour of Karachi which Includes the visit to the famous St.
Patricks Church, you will be taken inside this magnificent Church built back
1930s . Mingle with the people and if possible meet the Father. Later visit the
mausoleum of Quaid E Azam, the founder of Pakistan, Defense Mosque, Clifton
beach where you might like to ride a camel on the beach, and Bohri bazaar.

Day 02 Begin the day with a mass at the St Andrews Church or any other Church
of your choice (There 12 Churches to chose from) After the mass visit the St.
Lawrence’s Church built in 1912, St. Anthony's Church, Holy Trinity Cathedral
built in 1844 and visit the Zainab market for some shopping. Lunch. Afternoon
free at leisure Overnight at hotel
Day 03 Drive to Hyderabad via Thatta visiting Chaukundi, Banbhore and Makli
(Where cross has been adopted as a decorative motive on Muslim graves) Visit the
Church if time permiting and continue to Hyderabad Overnight at hotel
Day 04 Early morning attend mass at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral later drive
to Sukkur overnight at hotel. Time permitting visit St. John Church and the
tower of Masoom Shah. Overnight at hotel
Day 05 Morning mass at St. Anthony's Church later drive to larkana and than
to Moen Jo Daro visit the archeological site dating back to 2500 BC also see the
museum and return to Sukkur in the evening. Overnight at hotel
Day 06 Drive to Multan Overnight at hotel
Day 07 Morning visit to Cathedral of the Holy Redeemer later visit the
Shrines of Shah Rukne Alam and Bahauddin Zakaria sufis continue to Lahore

Day 08 After breakfast embark on an exploration of this cultural capital of
Pakistan and city that has seen past and modernity. It has many colorful bazaars
and lavish shopping areas plus a rich architecture from the Moghul times. We
will visit Sacred Heart Cathedral , St. Andrew's Church, St. Andrew's Church,
St. Anthony's Church on The Mall Road, St. James Church, St. Mary's Church later
visit the Badshahi mosque a red sand stone architecture build in in 1772 by
emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir. We will visit the Lahore fort which remained winter
capital of India during the Moghul times. After the fort we will drive you to
the Delhi gate a land mark showing built in direction to Delhi, we will visit
the old bazaar and the beautiful Wazir Khan mosque. After visiting the museum we
will bring you to the hotel for Lunch/frshup later we will pick you up again to
take you to the Pakistan india border to witness the flag lowering ceremony a
color full enchanting event held every day at the border.
Day 09 Train to Islamabad on arrival meet and transfer to hotel. Afternoon tour
of Islamabad visit the famous Lok Virsa museum organized in chronological order
showing different aspects of Pakistan history and culture. Later visit
Shakarparian viewpoint and visit the Jinnah Super market. We will end our tour
at Sunset at Shah Faisal mosque 2nd largest mosque iin the world. Overnight at

Day 10 Drive to Murree on arrival check in at hotle later vsit the famous
Churches dating back to over 100 years in Murree Including Church of Seven
Sorrows, Holy Trinity Church Overnight at hotel
Day 12 Drive to Abbottabad vis Nathiagali visit the St. Matthew's Church on
arrival in Abbottabad check in at hotel. Afternoon visit the Churches in this
majestic city Including St. Luke's Church, United Presbyterian Church, and St.
Peter's Church . Overnight at hotel
Day 13 Drive to Islamabad via Taxila visit the archeological Site of Taxila
and museum Overnight at hotel
Day 14 Transfer to airport for flight to home
