Taftan

Taftan is the last city when you drive from Pakistan to Iran or in other words first place you encounter when you enter Pakistan from Iran. The town is rather deserted very little traffic is seen on the main highway. The bazaar of Taftan is however interesting.

There is a PTDC Motel in Taftan and few other very basic places to stay. Tourists need visas to enter Pakistan and if you bring your own vehicle you will need Carnet De Passage for your vehicle.

Taftan is approximately 600 km from Quetta, which can take between 12 hours to 14 hours by car.

Please note it is no recommended to drive from Taftan to Quetta on your own. The local Authorities will offer security guards but it is good to have an English speaking guide with you. We can arrange guides to wait for you at Taftan please contact us for details
