Aabpara Market Islamabad
Aabpara market is popular day to day groceries and household goods
market in Islamabad. It is located at
the south west of Sector G-6 of Islamabad, along Khayaban-e-Suharwardy.
It is the oldest market of Islamabad having been purpose built in 1960 during
the construction of the Islamabad as the new capital of Pakistan.
The History of Name Aabpara
Nothing is known about the condition of this girl Appara and how she is
doing now The newborn girl seen with her parents in the picture above is Aapara.
Islamabad's Abpara market was named after the newborn Bengali girl Abpara.
When the city of Islamabad was settled and became the capital of Pakistan, this
girl was born, so the first birth registered in Islamabad was this Bengali girl
Abpara. When Pakistan was one i.e. Bangladesh was not formed, at that time the
people of East Pakistan also lived in the federal capital in connection with the
federal government.
Abpara's parents also worked in the federal capital. When they moved to the
settled city of Islamabad, the employees also moved here. In 1960, a baby girl
was born to this couple from East Pakistan and she was named Abpara. The girl's
name was registered in the records of the concerned institution, so the new
market built in Islamabad was named Aapara Market in accordance with the same
name.
Then ten years later, this girl Abpara went to Bangladesh with her parents
after the separation of East Pakistan. Now, where is the water, in what
condition is it, nothing is known.
